USM BIG (Bamboo Interest Group) - Is time for us to make a leap now!
Since year 2007, USM is taking part in APEX programme, facing an even higher and challenging transformation, which requires all its citizens to make a leap to 2012 now! For fullfill this noble mission, an overall programme to show the steps to archieve is very important. Thus, it can be summarized as belows:
The key elements in the programme are BIG's Milestones, which included M0 M1 M2 and M3.
For M0, October 2010
BIG shall begins the USM BAMBOO SYMPOSIUM- "BAMBOO EXPERIENCE: THE WAY FORWARD", to explain what the programme about and witness the multiple launchings which enable for research and contruction.
The BIG launching covers:
1. USM BIG
2. Traditional Toys and Games Museum
3. Rumpun Buluh : Bamboo Research Village
4. USM Bamboo Botanic Garden (Bambusetum)
Besides, BIG shall announce the preparation that have to make for Polar Shift which predicted will be happen on 21st December 2012.
For M1, September 2011
M1 is the post disaster preparation stage. World Bamboo Conference ''Welcoming 2012'' will generate a Masterplan for Alternative Development. In this plan, a systematic change in economic and governance will be manifest in alternative housing, education and school, and also marketplace, to be ready in September 2012, on M2.
For M2, September 2012
In M2, the effort is about "how to handle global disaster?" Draft of Post Disaster Alternative Development MasterPlan will be share with those futurists and visionaries from various places. For next October and November, BIG is going to make the final preparation for M3.
For M3, 12December2012
The Polar Shift is around the corner!! In this stage, we hope that all the USM citizens have already make a full preparation on that. However, If not, Post Disaster Alternative Development Masterplan will be implemented in next 12months.
The 2012 Disaster!!!For M3-M4, January-December 2013
Now is The Implementation of Alternative Developement Masterplan Period. During the time, Big will test the propotype of its alternative development. It gonna produce structure of primary, secondary and tertiary education..
